Dr. Galen Andre Weiss, MD

Dr Weiss is a very caring and thorough Dr. The day I was there 2 people came in for follow up on their surgeries, one was a total hip replacement, and the other was a total knee replacement. Both were doing excellent and said they wish they had done it sooner. The staff there are excellent and really care about your health. Will do anything they can to help.

This is 2nd time I saw this man I should have known better but was referred by E.R. He let me walk around with bone exposed in my finger causing bone infection. Never did an x-ray. Was in his office for 4 weeks total time actually saw him. Maybe 15 min in 4 weeks. Ended up seeing klienert and kuntz to fix my hand the 1st time I saw him he ruined my foot causing me to have more surgeries. I would NOT recommend him to my worst enemy!

I started going to him earlier this year for knee pain was given a cortisone shot it did nothing. I went back later he set up for me to have the nerves burn in my knee 2 parts it was very painful with issues after he said that has a new issue funny no problem until after that procedure was done I was in severe pain for over 2 months. My knee pain is no better today than it was when I first went I spent $$$$ and no better not a good choice for a surgeon.

I have never written a review ever, but felt my experience with Dr. Weiss warranted one. It’s not a means of me being sensitive; and I rather prefer a blunt approach with zero sugar coating. But, he talked to me like I was an idiot. I was already feeling low and defeated and he basically shamed me. I have no doubt that he may be a wonderful surgeon, but he was not in the least bit helpful. He was very dismissive, impatient and seemed to lack any compassion. I can’t imagine the stress of being a doctor, but I think this sort of bedside manner could do a lot of harm.

I found the staff to be very courteous and efficient.Dr Weiss not so much I am 70 went in for hip pain .Did have X-ray done .Was seen by Dr Weiss for approximately 10 minutes ,set up for bone density test it was done .Was called by office and told results " weak bones" and take vitamin D Sounds good ,not so much .Already taking vitamin D and hip still hurting .Made Dr Weiss aware .Nothing. Signed to have my records released .Two weeks later still no records .Was I satisfied with my visit? NO .There has got to be someone out there more caring/interested in your health then this man

I saw this doctor twice and found him far to "ready" to do a total hip replacement. The billing office of the hospital told me that he had only done 2 total hip replacements...PERIOD. I will absolutely not be his third. His staff read from my chart that he said and I quote, " the patient found that the cortisone shots did not work." I have never ever had a cortisone injection in my life. Also she read off dozens, yes dozens, of things that he supposedly cautioned me about in reference to surgery and said that I had a clear understanding of them. Neither my spouse or I recall any of that conversation. We will not be seeing him again.

He seems knowledgeable and thorough in his field and patients who have had his hip surgery are very pleased. Mine is in a week. I can't wait.

Dr. Weiss spent 4 mins. talking to me. I have injured my back at work. Due to the nature of my work, they have no light duty. Dr. Weiss kept insisting that I could sit and file papers, not an option at this company, as it is all very physical labor. He ordered an MRI and then had a receptionist tell me his thoughts on it. He would never see or talk to me after the first visit! He is taking the workers comp money and runs!
