TBD. Inova was referred as having the physical therapy expertise needed. I was told by intake they typically got patients from hospitals. But Dr. Kolycheva said she works with more advanced patients. She made an initial accessment and recommended less acute from outpatient services or someone who can take baby steps. (??) I thought Inova had the expertise to get us beyond the baby steps based on cases featured in their megazine. Now waiting to see how well Inova will work with others in getting what's needed for the patient. There are now three physicians involved, a private physical from a medical group, a primary physician from a HMO and now Inova. We had a Physicians referral to Inova and have yet to be accepted by a facility. It appears nobody wants to do the initial work needed. Coverage is with HMO, Medicare and Physicians Group. Physical condition is worsening while everybody pass the buck. Everybody seems to be in assessment mode.
