Dr. Gamal Sami A Boutros, MD

The wait times are over an hour from appointment time, the dr plays on his phone in the halls. During the appointment he mumbles and rambles with no clear sense of direction and has no concern for worsening symptoms. The wife is the worse with the attitude of a chihuahua. Just the worst honestly. Didn’t care that I was hurting or anything.

I didn’t believe the bad reviews at first, but I certainly do now. Long waits - expected for a specialist and not my reason for the one star. Disorganized/ unresponsive/ unhelpful office staff that does not respond to medical information requests from other doctors - still not my reason for a one-star rating. This is about Dr. Boutros. I saw Dr. Boutros numerous times over the course of three years, his nurse practitioner several times more. Both were wonderful until.... At my last visit he yelled at me, slammed the exam room door, became accusing, & all over a letter from another specialist concerning an issue both he & his nurse practitioner had discussed with me at multiple visits. He berated me for the medications HE had started prescribing, raged at me for a medication I have been prescribed for seventeen years then stormed from the room without answering my questions or giving me time to speak, and without scheduling me another appointment, leaving me without a neurologist. His… staff repeatedly apologized, saying he was ill that day, but they would not schedule me a next appointment when I inquired. This was intimidating, unprofessional, and absolutely unconscionable behavior. I am now in search of a new neurologist. Do yourself a favor – find someone else.

been to doctors about back problems for years and he is the only on that helpd me

long wait times, poor attention to detail, rude, uninformed, unhelpful. He ordered and billed for a lot of tests with no diagnosis provided. He really got mad that my husband can not use drugs or cpap due to physical dysfunction. Doesn't want to see him if he can't drug him. I guess that generates more office visits for billing purposes. Seems that's all he does because care is not on the list after your new patient visit.

3 hour wait for the first appointment. Had been diagnosed in 2002 in PA by a pulmonologist. That was standard in PA then. The wait was off-putting, but later appointments were much shorter. Had another sleep study done. Newer cpap worked better. He can appear gruff, but will slow down and answer questions as they are asked. I've dealt with so many docs in 3 states over the years that I know to see past and push for answers. That way, you get attention and answers. My doc for low these 3 years. Good diagnostician, meticulous despite others' opinions, in my case at least!

I currently work here as a sleep tech. I have seen office staff be rude to patients and talk to them like dogs. Most of patients that come in are apprehensive because they have no idea what's going on. The biggest complaints I get from patients are long wait times and no info from the doctor. It's bad when patients tell you that you've spent more time answering their questions vs the doctor, which should be done during consult. I've also seen the doctor be very rude to his staff; lots of yelling and screaming. The morale of the office staff is very low because of this. I honestly don't know how they stay in business because they are so unprofessional! They ran off one sleep tech because they were so rude to her when she was trying to help them out when their EEG tech was out. I do my best to keep the sleep lab part clean but is in serious need of updating, plus the other sleep techs don't care. One is allowed to bring in her dog (yes, the owners know about it) and the other brings in… her kids. So unprofessional! Do a Google search before going here and find another practice.

I have been to several different doctors with no answers. It took a little time and pateince, but the answers came and I recommend this Dr.

If you are supposed to see this dude for a C&P exam change it! He will screw you over. He did not conduct my exam as regulated, and was not interested in anything I had to say. It was clear from the moment I walked through the door that he was not interested in me and that my exam was not going to go well. My wife accompanied me to help me (it was a TBI exam because my head got smashed around while I was serving my country in Iraq). When we got into the car after the exam my wife broke down and started crying saying, "I didn't realize how bad these exams can be when you get the wrong doctor". He is a bad man and is completely unfit to conduct these exams. Oh, he also had his assistant administer the mental exam to me, she guided me through areas I had difficulty with and then he told me that I have no residual issues. Now I need to appeal this claim and wait more. Hurting people who are already hurting is shameful. The patient matters and he doesn't realize this. But you know what? He… still got paid and I'm left holding the bag of turds. -A disappointed veteran who served proudly and wishes the VA would hold up their end of the deal.

This Dr. Only wants to get paid!! He does not care about your pain or your problem. I waited in the lobby over a hour then over 2 hours when I went back...."PREVIOUSLY I had waited well over 2 minths for a MRI just to get scheduled then had to wait after the MRI another month to see him to get my results" then he comes in no hello or anything...sits down fumbles thru my file DOES NOT tell me my results then says he wants more tests done...I asked the results of my MRI I get told thats none of my concern...REALLY its my MRI wth is it not my concern?? Spent a total of 7 mins w me after I waited over 3 hours...his wife also came in showing him papers of someone that hadnt paid and his words were want help pay for service.....do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT go to this Dr.!!!!!
