Dr. Gang Bao, MD

Dr. Bao currently refuses to "sign off" on some CPAP supplies. I called him and he said my wife had not seen him face to face in 2 years. I told him we were sheltering in because of COVID-19; so could he set up a telephone conference and sign off for the badly needed supplies. He refused. I told him we would find a more professional sleep therapist...that we were not going to risk exposure to COVID-19 just because he wanted to "bill" more for an inpatient visit.

Saw Dr. Bao for a consultation prior to a sleep study. He was 30 minutes late but I realize he might have had priority patient to see or been involved with something. He seemed friendly initially but then his mood changed when I told him that my primary doctor wanted me to be on supplemental oxygen at night as it seemed to help when it was combined with my CPAP. He emphatically stated I didn’t need it without even looking at my records. He questioned dosages of most of my medications and need for several. Focused on anti depressant and said “ Oh, you are depressed.” I told him I had been on medication for many years and I was not newly depressed. Did tell me to schedule the sleep study. Shocked when tech told me my next appointment with him would be in four months. Hopefully I can just follow up with my primary MD who listens to me and involves me in plan of care.

Doctor Bao is and has been my pulmonary doctor for several years now I think he is great however since moving to his new office with a new staff they get a grade of F from me. the people at the front desk are very rude think we owe them a favor not that our presence pays their salary. Today I was there and that girl I think maybe the name is Christie kept rolling her eyes at my complaints my meds are always wrong and I have been waiting for a paper to be filled out so far 11 days and now they say will be next Friday that makes it 18 days and they really messed me up on that one. you would think the staff would fill out the paperwork and leave on doctors' desk all he has to do is sign. The only thing keeps me coming is I like Doctor Bao and think he is very good at being my pulmonary doc....But his staff is really hurting his business. I even canceled a sleep therapy appointment I had with him because of that staff. for these reasons I must give low rating. Sorry Doc Bao you… need to know your staff is ruining your practice

As a Patient for more than 4 years, Dr. Bao has been a quientessential professional with excellent technical and patient care empathy. He's the Best!

I went there is a patient referred to by a sleep clinic and went through all the office visits and met with them discussed the cost and then had them and my insurance together on a conference call confirming there would be no cost and fully covered. Only after completing everything and paid in full they came to deliver the sleep machine only to find out they will want to charge me $1500 the very amount that we agreed would not be charged so I declined the machine. In a retaliatory action the doctors office created a $10 bill and then charged it to me and then placed in credit collections for $10. After I ran its course they then reposted it years later to negatively affect my credit the retaliatory behavior because I can go ahead with the treatment after they lied to me and told me would not cost any money and confirm with my insurance that it would be covered. I think this doctor's office is unscrupulous and going after someone's credit because they didn't go ahead with the sleep… machine for $10 to affect someone's credit is outrageous and I will be filing a letter with the medical board and post on every site I can find. What's so frustrating is they just reposted it again to keep it on my credit report for $10. I wish I'd never gone into the sleep clinic because it is a sham they tell you all cost money than they try to see me with the $1500 fee when you don't pay that they created charge and put it on your credit history outrageous simply outrageous and medical board will be hearing from me since this is not gone away in fact they now reposted it to affect my credit again for total of $10 which now apparently is 30 I will not pay that bill I paid all my bills in full but to affect someone's credit because you're upset they didn't go ahead with the full treatment after lying to them when cost of money is outrageous simply outrageous and that Dr. should be ashamed and I would not recommend that Dr. to treat my dog
