Dr. Garland G Gentry, DDS

Dr. Garland G. (Glen) Gentry, DDS was born and raised in Lynchburg. He attended the Brookville school district and grew up in the Timberlake area of Campbell County. His father, Robert G. Gentry is a Lynchburg native, still active in the real estate appraisal business, and his mother, Gwen, still reside in the Timberlake area. His brother, Chris Gentry, also was a Brookville graduate, and owns his own commercial real estate firm in Lynchburg, and resides with his wife Melissa in the Forest area.
Dr. Gentry and his wife Nickie (Watts), are both natives of Lynchburg. Both Brookville High School alumni and have two daughters, Courtney and Caleigh.
Dr. Gentry graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1993. Prior to studying at MCV Dental School, he attended Lynchburg College, where he majored in Biology & Chemistry with the Class of 1989. Dr. Gentry has been practicing in the Lynchburg area for over 14 years. He has just recently opened his brand new …state-of-the-art cosmetic facility in Forest, at the intersections of Routes 211 and 811,as of February, 2007, the area where he currently resides.
Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr.Gentry has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.
Dr. Gentry also is very active in the local and state dental organizations and currently serves as the regional representative for the Virginia Dental Association's Peer Review Comittee as well as the Chairman for the Infection Control and Environmental Safety Committee. He is also a past President of the Piedmont Dental Society.
Dr. Gentry enjoys golfing as his primary hobby and is an active member of Boonsboro Country Club.
