Dr. Garrett M Friedman, MD

Dr. Friedman evaluated my father for memory loss. He determined that he should be treated with an expensive drug with a high rate of side effects. When I asked questions about his non-memory loss symptoms, which could suggest both other possible diagnoses as well as other conditions he may need to be evaluated for, Dr. Friedman admitted he had not read his chart, did not review his blood test results, and had not asked him about any other symptoms. Serious diagnoses and high-risk, expensive treatments deserve a serious workup. I expect a physician to at least review his chart, note the findings that are abnormal, and treat a patient as a whole person, not just one symptom.

Dr. Garrett Friedman was great as a consultant for the ER, but never followed up on any of his plans. He never called or had the office call to schedule appointments for EEG or for outpatient follow up. He also did not leave any contact information which left me with no leads on how to reach him and implement the plan we discussed
