I would never recommend anyone go here as they are not skilled at what they do.

I would have gladly left 5 stars if everything was done properly and the way it was supposed to be. I was supposed to have a root canal done for several thousand, and that be it. Dr. Garrett ruined some of my crowns and fillings. Then told me sorry, and I'd need to pay someone to fix it. If you ruin someone's teeth maybe you should reduce their bill, or pay for their repairs to be done. Rather incompetent and not someone I'd ever recommend. If you so this for a living, but ruin people's teeth. Then you do absolutely nothing about it. This sadly is not someone I'd recommend anyone ever go to. Rather dangerous individual to say the least.

I developed a terrible infection related to a procedure Dr. Morris performed and when I returned to his office for help, he terminated me from his practice. During my last visit, He recommended three treatment options to remedy the issue and I choose one and set the date with him. The next day I called his office to inform them that I was seeking a second opinion on the decision I made and If the endodontist that I consulted with agreed with my choice I would move forward. If the consulting endodontist did not agree, I would change options and continue with Dr. Morris nonetheless. In a nutshell, it was my choice I was seeking an opinion about, not Dr. Morris' choice. he gave me three options to choose from and I wanted another opinion to ensure I was making my best choice. Swollen, in great discomfort, and on the high dose of antibiotics he prescribed, Dr. Morris terminated me from his practice on the spot for seeking another opinion. Discouraging second opinions is contrary to… the ADA's standards of ethical practice and is in opposition to modern-day collaborative methodology. Termination for seeking a second opinion is a community danger. To demonstrate, imagine having the above experience and then being afraid to ever seek another medical opinion because of fear of termination. Additionally, imagine if this were your elderly parents or grandparents. Louisiana maintains abandonment laws for a reason, it's likely Dr. Morris violated those laws when he refused to continue caring for me for at least thirty days from his decision to terminate. Endodontists are often difficult to obtain appointments with, and my case was severe enough that he had prescribed a high dose of antibiotic therapy. It took a significant amount of time to locate another trusted specialist who could fit me on their schedule and it was indeed a terribly stressful experience. There are many wonderful endodontists in the New Orleans metro area, please choose one who is collaborative and who will be a healthcare partner. The days of the patriarchal practitioner model are antiquated because they were dangerous and counter-productive. In nursing, I learned there is an undeniable value in choosing a practitioner who will work with you and the team of providers you decide to collaborate with. This is a model for sucess. Choose wisely.

At 44 years old, I had my first root canal. Once I was numb, Dr. Morris worked very efficiently on my tooth. Other than the initial shots I felt no pain. I had delayed getting the root canal for a couple of years because, well because it was a root canal. After having the procedure with Dr. Morris, I regretted putting it off that long.
