Dr. Garry Dennis Ruben, MD

I am Joyce Jones: I was admitted to Holly Cross Hospital in Silver Spring MD with severe abdominal pain. Forever grateful and thankful to God for Dr Ruben who I know saved my life that night. His followup sessions were very thorough and you were made to feel very comfortable and at ease as the Doctor carefully examined the wound/incision. You always left after every visit, looking forward to the next one.

He did the surgery well, but blamed the patient for her own pain in recovery despite the severity of the surgery. “Women are never happy, you just have a low pain tolerance.” Misogynist. Needs to be reschooled in being a compassionate human being.

I found him competent and confident but not arrogant nor cocky. Sounds like he has had a couple of patients that other doctors should be warned about. I have renowned local doctor surgeon friends and GP's- they speak very highly of him which is why I saw him. Re some negative posters-some people just like to complain-

Dr Rubin is the worst doctor I have ever met. My mom has been in ICU for 3 weeks. He was going to do surgery on her, but after talking to him for 5 min i knew i wouldn;t trust him with a dead dog. He was the most arrogant, unthoughtful person i have met in a long time. All he did was down my mom the whole time. His bedside manner is absolutely horrible. I have no idea who would like a thing like this. I can accept someone who is being honest with me, but the way he came off to me was disgusting.. i have never been this mad or disgusted with a doctor in my whole life.. If anyone needs a surgeon please i repeat please don't give Dr. Rubin the time of day. I have no idea how he is a doctor.

Has out dated equipment from the late 70s to maybe early 80s. His bedside manner is horrible, painful, innapropriate, mean, careless, ignorant, unethical, negligent, potentially dangerous, immoral, unethical, untruthful, and most of all, incompetent. His equipment in the office is incapable of providing an accurate reading for diagnosis. He form opinions based on his pay from legal attorneys who pay him to say whatever they want. His office is untidy, small, inefficient, uncomfortable, and unwelcoming. He sold his soul to the devil so he can make a living. Don't believe a word he says. What he tells you and does to you during examination he will deny. He is the worst doctor I have ever dealt with. His attitude is arrogant like he is god. He has no clue of how to do what he spent so much time learning. Even though he may have graduated from college and performed his duties at small insignificant hospitals, he need to be re trained in people skills, listening, reading, and generally… everything he may have been trained to do in his medical profession. I have an absolute no confidence vote on him, his practice, opinions, and diagnosis. He is a sell out and a liar. Stay away from this guy. He would be better off getting a job as the manager of a McDonald restaurant.
