Dr. Garumuni Anura Desilva, MD

Being an RN, I know when MD's are paying attention or just waiting to move onto the next patient. I have been with Dr. Desilva for many years and even followed him when he moved to Hamden. To me, he's worth the drive.

I trust Dr Desilva so much that I had my parents switch to him for their care. I never had any problems getting an appointment on the same day and he spends time with me and never rushes me.

Dr. DeSilva encourages and inspires you to take an active part in your healthcare. He is invested in your wellness and wants you to be as well. He celebrates your accomplishments and has a very down to earth approach. He gives you the time you need at each visit.

Dr Desilva is a caring and thorough doctor. He is not an alarmist and does not recommend tests or specialists that are not necessary. He has always done great by me. I have been a patient for at least ten years. I like him very much. I always feel comfortable with him. He does not judge me or make me feel bad about my weight ( I am overweight ) and has great advice. He gives me suggestions to help and always follows up with me. If you and your family are looking for the best Primary Care Physician, you have found him. I have had asthma my whole life and for many years was a regular in Emergency Rooms, thanks to the correct preventative medicine recommended by him, I haven't had an attack that bad in over nine years. Give him a try, you won't be sorry.
