Dr. Gary C Degrande, MD

I found Dr DeGrande almost 5 months into my pregnancy because I wanted a private dr. I love him he was so assuring and amazing . He answered all my questions, even after my c section. When I first went into labor it was another dr on call and he barely came in to check on me or anything but in the morning dr DeGrande came in and even though I had to get a c section he assured me he would take of me and it wouldn't be an ugly scar, and that he did. My scar healed beautifully. He tells a lot of jokes but made sure I was good. And if I had any questions I would call and he would call me back within mins

He put in an iud after the birth of my second child. I told him multiple times I was in pain, that sunbathing wasn't right. It ended up embedding through my uterus, causing lots of scar tissue and required two surgeries to fix! Completely dismissed the pain I was feeling and because of the damage caused by an iud I was pressured into by him, I can no longer have any more children. Stay away!

I love Dr. Degrande he is a wonderful doctor I have been going to his office since I was 23 years old, now I m 43 year old. He delivery my baby very professional take his time to listen and explain, my husband and I were very happy the way he was when our baby arrived.

While at first I did like him when I was pregnant with my children, he was arrogant, rude, and completely unhelpful when it came to issues I had after pregnancy. Does not listen to his patients, scolded me for wanting to not use chemical means of birth control. Belittles patients. Spends too much time typing notes on the computer rather than listening what's actually going on.

I went to Dr. Degrande for abnormal cells. He told me that my cells got worst and I needed a LEEP procedure to remove them. After the procedure, he told me that my cells were marginal. He told me to get to a 2nd opinion to see if I should get another LEEP. I went to an oncology and he said to wait it out. I did and my cells have been gone since and that was 9 mos ago. My last checkup was not with Dr. Degrande since I live an hour and half away showed that my cervix healled beautiful and should have no problems in pregnancy. I am currently preganant and have not had any problems. My suggestion is with any sign of cancerous cells, go to an oncologist.

Never mind that his bedside manner is poor (impatiently tapping his foot while I labored and pushed, calling surgical wounds "boo-boos"), he completely misdiagnosed an ectopic pregnancy as ovarian cancer. I went through the psychological torture of initially believing I had cancer, and then belatedly realized that efforts to get pregnant resulted in a tubal pregnancy. Six weeks after I my first visit I underwent emergency surgery to remove a 5cm mass and, because it had been so long, I lost the whole Fallopian tube. Altogether a horrible experience.
