Dr. Gary A Ferris

I am typically somewhat nervous in the dental chair, however, not so with Dr. Ferris. Not only did he perform a good job, he made it easier for the next professional to complete the entire job.

I went in to get wisdom teeth removed and the staff was so rude and pushy, I ended up walking out crying. They told me to sign a form stating that I could have permanent loss of feeling in my face, tongue, etc. I asked the lady how high risk it was...she said I don't know, it's likely. I asked to speak to the doctor. He said the same thing, and said that the feeling would possibly return after 6 months. This all took place after waiting 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment, because they were late taking me back. I started to read the form again, and she told me to hurry up and make a choice because she had other patients. I told her that she wasn't making me very comfortable and asked if I could have another person assist the surgery. She told me no. I decided to not get it don't because she was so rude, even asking me back from the waiting area. I was asked to wait in the lobby, while I was waiting I heard them saying the wouldn't reschedule me and she wasn't going to go chase me… down! After that she tried to pretend to go talk to the doctor and said he wouldnt reschedule me. I told them that I heard everything prior and my experience in the room, they all said, well I wasn't in the room! This is an absolute joke of a business, if you want to call it that. Furthermore, he said he wouldn't remove the other three wisdom teeth because they were tough. He is a sad, angry, old man. And his staff mirrors his nasty behavior.

After experiencing a terrible experience in the past with dentists I have an extreme phobia. I was referred to Dr. Ferris in which I went and within the first visit should have known that he would only contribute to the phobia and not help me work through it. He was extremely degrading. At the second visit I opted not to get sliced and diced by this nightmare of a person. I was in tears from anxiety and instead of using skills or empathy to help me overcome he contributed to that anxiety by yelling at me. They gave me gas, and after treating me disrespectfully personally I couldn't imagine the pain he would cause physically! I said I couldn't do it, and he actually told me to get out, and never come back. As I got up very upset he laughed with his staff and said, Good riddance. They let me leave while I was still under the influence of the gas they gave me. As I walked out, not one of their staff asked if I was ok being that I was under the influence of the gas, or asked if I… needed assistance. I mentioned to one of the staff members that Dr. Ferris didn't need to speak or treat me like that and her comment was "He has a business to run". Well, I didn't know that running a business entailed treating people like garbage, that's a business I don't want to support.

Dr. gary ferris is an awful "dentist". within moments of speaking to this man you will know that he feels like he is better than you and will make you feel uncomfortable with many snide little comments. my experience with him was terrible his bedside manor is the worst i have ever experienced. Following his "expert" oral surgery i had so much pain on the entire side of my face that he worked on. the following day i had a bruise that covered the entire side of my face that he had worked on. I was of course concerned and called the ladies in his office said it was normal to have some bruising after an extraction. so i went into the office. I could instantly tell by the look on the office personel that they were appauled by the bruise. They continued to tell me it was normal although their faces said otherwise. Now i need more teeth removed so i call my LAST RESORT...dr ferris apparently he refuses to see me. isnt that a bit odd? It is just sad to see a man such as dr. ferris making soo… much money and being such an awful person with NO care for the people that pay for his pretty holier than though richy life. so i suggest you never see him you will regret it.
