Dr. Gary Hancock Field, MD

I've had many doctors throughout my life, and Dr. Fields is by far the best. It took me over 35 years to finally find an endocrinologist who knows what he's doing because he too lives with Type1Diabetes. He personally contacts me through MyChart or by phone to discuss my blood test results and other healthcare concerns. I don't have to go through his staff to get answers for my questions. I've never had a long wait; in fact, I'm usually called back before settling into the waiting area. The lab also has a great system that gets you in and out quickly. Don't be intimidated by the crowded waiting room; they call back several patients at a time, so you'll be called quickly. I had to move out of state but I couldn't stand the thought of losing him as my doctor so I fly back twice a year for my checkups. The ONLY drawback is that it won't be easy getting in to see him for the first time; there will definitely be a long wait to get established as a patient. Also, once you become a… patient, make sure you schedule your follow-ups right after seeing him or shortly after. He's a very busy physician.

Dr. Field personally calls with test results; however, he takes test results as more important than the functioning of his patient.
