Dr. Gary Eliot Fink, MD

WON'T DO A REFERRAL FOR THE MAYO CLINIC FOR SICK SON!!!! My son has had muscle & join pain for 25 yrs w/o a diagnosis. Went to Fink & he ruled out Lymes w/o testing for co-infections, & said he MIGHT HAVE chronic myofascial pain syndrome. His recommendation was for him to take ibuprofen everyday like he does for his aches & pains. Meanwhile Fink is close to 70 & my son is in his 20's! So...I contacted the Mayo Clinic to get an appt w/a Lymes (as Fink himself suggested) & a pain syndrome specialist & he WON'T DO A REFERRAL! What kind of Dr does that?????

I was part of Dr. Fink’s fibromyalgia study for almost a year. The medication actually helped and then all of my symptoms increased again once I stopped participating in the study. I came upon this site hoping to find information regarding the outcome of the study. The staff that actually collected the information from the study was great, but I can’t say anything positive about Dr. Fink. He was incredibly rude during just about every single visit and I am really surprised to read reviews from people saying that he is professional and caring because what I experienced was the exact opposite. I don’t think he truly cared about the results of the study because he would always cut me off and raise his voice in an aggressive manner if I ever tried to tell him about any changes that I was experiencing. I never followed up with him or went back to the office once I left the study. It’s very sad that fibromyalgia patients suffer daily with a variety of health issues and it’s even sadder if… Dr. Fink is the “best” fibromyalgia researcher that rheumatology has to offer.

Years ago I was a patient of Dr. Fink. I was 23 years old. He did a breast exam on me that at the time seemed odd but I wasn’t old enough to know that he was neither qualified nor was it medically needed. He also spoke about my nipples excessivly. So much so that I asked my husband to come with me. Years later I realized that what he did was wrong and he took advantage of my niavate

I have been going to Dr Fink for 5 years. I like him and his staff. They always answer all my questions and return any phone calls promptly. Wait time can be long. I am pain free thanks to the treatment he has me on.

The wait time can be pretty bad unless you snag one of the first few appointments. I'm willing to wait for Dr. Fink though as he's a caring professional who will take as much time as I need and he has a real passion for his field. He listens closely and values my input. Dr. Fink is responsible for helping me find remission in my disease.

Treated like student instead of patient.

I have gone to Dr Fink for over 20 years. I am ANA and AMA positive. For many years my pain and discomfort was blamed on Fibro when I knew that something was wrong. He never did bloodwork with no insurance nor did he ask if I wanted it and could pay for it. I would have been more than glad to pay for it knowing how ill I was. I finally got fed up and finally got Obamacare. I am very sick with tons of autoimmune problems that Dr Fink should have known since I was in his care. I am very disappointed that he let me slip through the cracks. Now I am paying with my life. Please find someone who cares, and wants to find answers for your illness. I am now fighting for my life because all this could have been diagnosed if he had only listened.

I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Dr. Fink had been my doctor for years and has provided me with excellent diagnoses and I have had great success with his treatment plans. Due to a career change, I have been unable to afford to see him for a while now. However, as soon as I am able, I will gladly return to his care. He is one of only 3 doctors, out of many I have had experience with over several years, that I believe truly cares about his patients and is more interested in their well-being than in the mighty dollar. People complain that the wait time to see him is outrageous. I believe face time with him is worth the wait and I also believe that it is his caring personality that causes some of the delays because he wants to take the time to make sure his patients are well cared for. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Fink to anyone I think can benefit from his services.

Doctor was very rude no compasion asking personal questions not providing quality care as a doctor should.
