Dr. Fortner is one of most amazing doctors I have ever been around. He listens!

I was a patient of his starting at age 8. At age 35 I wanted his help getting approved for gastric bypass surgery. He told me that he could not recommend weight loss surgery in good conscience because "anyone who really wants to lose weight can do it through diet and exercise." This was after being his patient for most of my life and having had numerous conversations about my attempts to lose weight. I was able to have the surgery in 2011 despite his efforts to prevent it and lost 200 pounds and have kept the weight off to this day. He has a complete lack of compassion and a very condescending manner with patients.

Dr Fortner runs a very professional practice and will answer all your questions during your appointment, I can honestly say he saved my life.

avoid this doctor if you want to call him that at all cost after your insurance money refused to give prescriptions unless I do diabetes study advised I already had done he did not care he wrote letter saying he was not going to fill them until I did took my daughter with me to witness his refusal turned him in to ama

He is not a good doctor... Will not talk to you unless you make and appointment

I have been to Dr. Fortner several times. He is a family doctor of sorts. But only for health improvement. He will not help with injuries nor does he seem to really have much compassion about such things. He diagnosed me with bruised ribs and said 6 weeks be fine after a head auto accident at 35 mph. Turns out many compound fractured disc in T section with stenosis and a syst. He is a good health dr Im sure.
