Dr. Gary Glynn, MD

I regret having had hammer toe surgery by Dr. Glynn since toe is as bad or worse than it was before the operation. Things didn't go well before the surgery either. First, office forgot to schedule the surgery after my visit. My followup call a week later was needed to prompt Dr. Glynn to schedule. Secondly, I had pre-clearance by my GP and cardiologist for the surgery weeks before the operation . TWO DAYS before the surgery I received a call from Dr. Glynn's ofice saying he can not do the surgery unless I see another specialist getting their OK. Glenn's office claimed it was surgery center having last minute concerns. I talked with surgery center and they had no idea what I was talking about. They were ready for my surgery. Luckily got a next day "emergency" appointment with specialist and got their approval. They were confused why their approval was needed. Surgery went as scheduled. Toe six months later is as swollen or larger than before and is still quite bent. Two… followup visits after the surgery gave me assurances "it really looks good" with confidence it would only get better in a few months as it healed. Wrong. Wish I had gone to a foot surgeon.

I would give Dr. Gary Glynn zero stars if it were possible. During my initial visit he x-rayed my right foot and said he found a fractured bone. He then put in me a large restrictive boot to fix my foot. He took x-rays during two subsequent visits over next 7 weeks and kept saying my bone was healing. I eventually sought the second opinion which showed NO evidence of bone fracture in any x-rays, but all x-rays taken at that office were of insufficient quality for his diagnosis. I had MRI done by another specialist that revealed NO BONE FRACTURE whatsoever. Thanks to Dr. Glynn, I spent 8 weeks wearing a boot to address a nonexistent problem, while the original problem got worse because by foot wasn't exercised for 2 months and my gait/hip were adversely affected by this boot. Moreover, the boot worn on my right foot was so large that I was unable to drive which really complicated getting to and from work, all for no reason at all.

Dr. Glenn was so happy and friendly it made my visit enjoyable, his nurse also was friendly with a positive attitude I look forward to my next visit in 3 months.
