Dr. Gary Paul Goldsmith, MD

It is easy to understand why this guy has so many bad reviews... He simply does not care.

I went to Dr. Goldsmith for having continuing sinus drainage after a procedure done by his competent partner who was on vacation.. I agree with other reviews in that Dr. Goldsmith told me I talked too much, was rude and sarcastic, and generally did not listen to me. I told him my mouth was filled with slime in the morning and I had to wipe the mucous out with a paper towel. He told me I took too many medications (how did he know my history on my first visit?), had reflux, and kept the house temperature wrong for humidity. Absurd. My dog gets better medical care than I received. The condition has worsened and now the slime is increasing and blood tinged and going into my lungs and I am coughing up blood tinged sputum. I am just holding on until his partner returns. I cannot stress how strongly I feel that this doctor is totally incompetent. Do not risk your health going to him.

I should have read the reviews before I went to Dr Goldsmith because I would not have gone! He is so rude, sarcastic and horrendous bedside manner. He didn't listen to me and insulted me by saying I talked too much! Really! Doctors seemed to forget that the patient is what's keeping them in business. Dr. Goldsmith might need to think about what he is doing, especially since he has so many negative reviews. The staff were nice, though.

Very rude and belittling. Completely ignored patients feeling of distress due from hearing loss.

I had reservations about consulting this doctor after reading some of the negative reviews, but my experience at his office was exceptional. Better than most doctor visits, actually. The office staff were friendly and helpful, the nurse efficient and pleasant. The décor is bright and cheery--not the usual dull doctors' office setup. Dr. Goldsmith could not have been nicer or more professional. He seemed interested in and concerned about my symptoms, initially recommending several moderate to mild home remedies. His manner was low key and reassuring and no technology was involved during the consultation. He deals directly with his patients and not with his back to you while on a computer, as is so often the case these days. A follow up visit yielded the same amount of interest and resulted in the next phase of treatment. I have every faith in his expertise. Just a word about online ratings: most frequently, those who believe they've had a bad experience are the most likely to write a… poor review. So, as far as Dr. Goldsmith and his office staff are concerned, take my advice, and go with the positive reviews!

Dr. was rude. Ponded on the desk when I went to talk to him and said listen to me, you are a talker. He wasn't interested in listening to anything I had say. Examination went well. He seems knowledge but he has no bed side manners--arrogant, condescending --talks down to people like they are children. Doesn't want to take time to tell them specifics of case.

I've seen a lot of physicians and have been blessed with many great ones. This one was not one of those! He was very arrogant, sarcastic, rude and demeaning. Answered my questions with " It doesn't matter". Would not refer anyone to him - in fact have and will continue to spread the word of his lack of bedside manners.

I honestly didn't know it was possible to have a good experience with a doctor ... or a nurse ... or front office staff--let alone all three. I can hardly believe it. I have had many bad (degrading, dehumanizing, and dissapointing) experiences with supposed experts and their staffs. Dr. Goldsmith had such a wonderful manner: pleasant, affable, and genial. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a very valuable, unique take on my condition: the cause and the treatment. He shared some important things that had never occurred to me before and that I'd never heard about before, in doing my own research. He was, refreshingly, very attentive. Wherever you go now, the doctor is staring into a computer screen and fervently typing away--not looking at you and perhaps not even listening to you that closely. But not Dr. Goldsmith. The front office staff and nurse were professional, helpful, and agreeable. The waiting area is beautifully arranged/decorated and comfortable. And… there is a nice variety of very current magazines.

Scolded me during the appointment for being upset that my 86 year old father was crying from the pain during his ear flush. Told me not to put ideas in my father's head or encourage him because I asked my father if he was okay, which he clearly wasn't.

Very thoughtful. On top of issues. Followed up on hospital procedures and tests to make certain hospitalist was on top of issues. Great bedside manner. Would recommend highly.
