About Me
I am happy you are taking the time to get to know me. I was born and raised in Merced, California, a small agricultural town in the Central Valley. I loved to play all team sports throughout my childhood, which to this day, I have the fondest memories. Because of my interest in sports, fitness, and teaching, I gravitated to the medical profession (first sports medicine then emergency medicine). I have worked at the Kaiser Permanente Emergency Department in Walnut Creek since 1991. I enjoy working at Kaiser Permanente because I share the same philosophy regarding healthcare. I believe in working in an integrated fashion with my physician colleagues to deliver the best medical care for my patients. I also share the common goal of keeping my patients healthy by encouraging their participation in preventive medicine programs such as childhood immunizations, early prenatal care, and colon, cervical, breast, and prostate cancer screening.
During my free …time, I enjoying spending time with my family. I especially cherish the times we get to spend outdoors camping and fishing.
If you are unfortunate and find yourself in the emergency room, I will take good care of you.
In addition to seeing patients for the Department of Emergency, I also serve as Director of the Emergency Department at the Walnut Creek Medical Center.
