Dr. Gary Michael Haynie, MD

We have used several doctors in the clinic and were a little taken back with Dr. Gary Haynie and his nurse. Thought both of them were a little cold and let's get this done. Had x-rays and MRIs of the neck and back. Went back for the results, was not one thing he was looking for and I am grateful. Gave me a shot said if it was not better in a week; he would refer me to the Spine Clinic. So, I will call tomorrow for referral.

I have went to see about 4-5x since dislocating my knee months ago. He took x-rays, I got an MRI done and he had me do physical therapy for 6 weeks, which did not really help. He put me on prednisone for about a week - I noticed no difference. When I went back the last 2x because the knee was still swollen and could not straighten or bend, he did not even look at the knee. Instead he told me "Why can't you straighten it? You gotta work with me here. When you're ready to let the muscles relax, the knee will move. Don't be such a wimp" He tried to straighten it himself and it would no. He then said he wanted to do surgery, but stated there was a 50% chance it wouldn't do anything. (umm...wtf) I found him extremely condescending, dismissive and a bit arrogant. On top of that, I waited over an hour to see him and he spent maybe 5 minutes with me and started to walk out of the room while I was talking. I asked him a question and he stood in the hallway discussing my personal medical… issues....there was no privacy. I still have no idea what is going on with my knee and I'm scared to have surgery done by him.
