Dr. Gary Eldon Heyamoto, DDS

Dr. Heyamoto was born and raised in Seattle.  He studied at the University of Washington, receiving an undergraduate Zoology degree in 1976 and his doctorate from the U.W. School of Dentistry in 1980.  Dr. Heyamoto believes education is a lifelong commitment and his continued participation in dental study clubs, organized dentistry and dental education courses have kept him at the forefront in dental advancement and technology.
He is a member of the: American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Seattle-King County Dental Society, Washington Academy of GeneralDentistry, Washington State Forensic Dental Identification Team and several educational study clubs.
He has been awarded: Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (1995), Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (2002), Fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Society (2000), Fellowship in the Academy of Dentisty International (2005), Fellowship in the American College of Dentists (2005), …Fellowship in the International College of Dentistry (2006), WAGD's "Dentist of the Year" in 2005 and the AGD Lifelong Learner / Community Service Award (2007).  
Recently, Dr. Heyamoto was selected by a vote of his peers to be included as one of "Seattle's Top Dentists" as reported by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine in their February 2011 issue, and more recently, for 2012 in their January 2012 issue.  He was also recognized in Puget Sound Consumers' Checkbook issue as one of Seattle's Top
 Dentists as well as being listed as one of "America's Top Dentists" of 2011 by the Consumer's Research Council of America.
On a national level, Dr. Heyamoto is serving as the Trustee for AGD's Region 11. For Washington State,  he chairs the WAGD's Dental Education Committee, spearheading the Fellowtrack and MasterTrack Programs.  He also was the chair of the Washington State Dental Association's Budget and Finance Committee for 2009-2010.  Currently, he is serving on the Board of Directors for WSDA ('10-13).
