Dr. Gary Lee Jacobsen grew up in Sioux City, Iowa. After graduating from Sioux City East High School in 1982, he received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Iowa in 1986. Dr. Jacobsen graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1993. During his studies at the University of Iowa, Dr. Gary Lee Jacobsen did extensive research on both the Coronavirus and the Herpes Virus. He received honors for his research and was chosen as a Hatten Award Finalist
Postgraduate preparation included a General Practice Residency at the Kansas City, Missouri VA Department. Dr. Jacobsen has been in private practice at Dental Professionals PLC since 1994. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and has been serving as a delegate for 15 years for the Iowa Dental Association. Other professional affiliations include the Des Moines District Dental Society, chairman on the council of Dental Health State of Iowa for 6 years, a Pierre Fauchard Academy Member, and …founder of the Society of Indianola Dentists Study Club.
Dr. Jacobsen is an avid member of the Warren County community and has received the Warren County “Best Dentist†Award in 2009 and 2010!  He enjoys fishing, hunting, and traveling with his three children, Kelsey, Carter, and Quinn.
