Dr. Gary Edward Kaplan, DO

First doctor to ever help me after a long mysterious illness.

Dr Gary spent time with me to come up with a plan of action for me to get better. He made sure I understood what was going on and tried to cover all bases, digging deeper than other physicians. The staff is very friendly and works hard to get you the appointments you want. They do have a wait list which they will contact you from if something becomes available.

Dr. Gary Kaplan seems to be very knowledgeable in his field. I was prescribed about a million supplements/vitamins which did not help with anything at all. I felt no difference when I started them and when I stopped them. I get the impression that this practice is mostly a money-making operation. At first, I felt that the staff cared but as time went on, it turned more into routine visits rather than anything targeted toward a resolution of the problem with my legs. It was as if the doctor and staff was going through the motions which is unacceptable for the very high cost. The physical therapist was very nice but did not help much at all. There was never any follow-ups after the visits. I'm sorry to say that overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

I had a great experience with Dr. Kaplan at The Kaplan Center for Integrative Medicine recently. I thought the office was really nice and bright and clean. The staff brought me into a room quickly and everyone was very friendly. I went to see Dr. Kaplan because I felt like I needed another doctors perspective on my health issues and he was great. He spent a long time with me, asking me a lot of questions that hadn't been asked before. As a result of my appointment with him I am feeling better and I feel like I'm on the right path. I do not live locally, but I would make the trip to see him again if necessary.

Not only did Dr. Kaplan help my sciatic leg pain, he identified and helped me resolve a long term problem with chronic plantar fasciitis. I had had acupuncture prior to seeing Dr. Kaplan, which didn't do anything to help my pain problem. His acupuncture technique combined with osteopathic manipulation and a change in my medications made a huge difference in my physical and emotional health. He spends time talking with me to make sure I understand my "healthcare plan of action." He's smart, creative and he cares.

I have been cared by Dr Kaplan and his team for the last 20 years, and he has diagnosed issues such a wheat alergy that caoused me lots of pain and once he found it out...I learned to manage the allergy and vila!! He is always researching the advances on medicine and selectivly bringing new protocols into his practice. I feel that my overall health has been very well cared since I been his patient...23 years ago...in a way we are aging together!!! Lucky me.
