Dr. Gary Benjamin Langnas, DO

If I could give him 0 stars, I would. My dad was assigned Dr. Langnas when he was admitted to Troy Beaumont. Dr Langnas was not attentive, very dismissive, and pushed hospice. He would come in and not even take any vitals or physically check my dad; just say “no changes” and walk out. Gave incorrect information several times. Did not want to give any sort of treatment because my dad had cancer. Kept asking us if we knew he was sick. Yes, that’s why we are here! Allowed him to deteriorate during his stay and facilitated nothing but neglect. Pushing him into hospice was Dr. Langnas’ only concern and didn’t seem to want to do anything other than that. If you can’t trust Beaumont hospital, I don’t know what hospital you can trust. Appalled with the treatment or lack thereof that my father was given. He was probably relieved when my dad finally died under his care. Would not recommend him.

Dr Langnas took car of my dad,mom,father in law ,husband and myself. When any of us were in the hospital he was there everyday checking on us. He explains everything to you. I have been going to him for over 20 years and he is the best. His staff is wonderful also and easy to work with.

Hey doc, you were the best :). I’m the lady that was in Troy, left and back next day due to severe stomach pain. Your bedside manner was great. Love your sense of humor, you consulted my neck doctor which was so considerate. I think your awesome, screw those bad reviews. If I’m ever back again, hope to find you the attending. Take care doc.

I've been going to Dr. Langnas for approximately 20 years. He has literally saved my life twice by knowing what my problem might be when I described my symptoms to him on the phone. He's very busy. But if you have concerns and let him know, he'll always take the time you require. One of the things I like most is he gives me options and let's me decide what I feel is the best route to take in my care. On several visits to the hospital for things like the flu or a back ache he literally calls me out of the blue to find out why I'm there. I'm not really sure how or why he knows but it's nice to know he's in touch with his patients and is always looking out for them. I would and have recommended him to several of my friends and they love him too. The only time I hear him get strict with a patient is when they aren't doing what he asks them to do to get well. His staff is the best! They all seem to enjoy working for him which for me says a lot about him. He cares. And that's… suits me just fine. He's a 5 star doctor in my book!

Rude, snotty, condescending. Not interested in what the patient has to say. No regard for the patient's condition. Accused me of lying about another doctor I'd spoken with earlier that day. I told him I'd spoken with that doctor for about 15-20 minutes. He called her and claimed I'd said I spoke with her for 30 minutes. No regard for patient comfort or safety. Sent me home without a diagnosis. I told him what I'd done prior to my ER visit, and that it didn't work which is why I was there. He ignored that and told me to do the very same thing. Sent me home while I was in destress and couldn't breathe. If you're ever in the Beaumont ER and this idiot comes in, insist on a different doctor if you wish to survive. Beaumont has been nothing but wonderful, with the exception of this moron. He should be in the morgue where he can't do any further damage. I'm trying to figure out how he got his license since he seemed to have no knowledge of how to treat a patient, or of medical procedures. If… I could give him a negative 5 star rating, I would.

DR. LANGNAS WAS A WONDERFUL AND CARING DOCTOR. HE LISTENED TO MY PROBLEMS AND CAME UP WITH A SOLUTION. HIS STAFF WAS VERY NICE GREETED ME WHEN I WALKED IN AND VERY ATTENTIVE.

I have found him to be very informed and concerned about me as his patient. He listens to my concerns and answers all questions completely. He is not hesitant to refer to a specialist.

While often brief, he is thorough and does not hesitate to request consultations with specialists when needed to resolve issues. He works to resolve complex diagnoses seeking practical and effective solutions. I have seen him in the hospital at several stays, over many years, through several medical crises. Multiple diagnoses, often with conflicting treatment protocols, and numerous specialists. I am fortunate to have had him by my side.

he is : rude does not care about patient's feeling or questions does not spend enough time explaining the condition for the patient or family i would never recommend him for anyone
