Dr. Markovits has been practicing dentistry in White Plains for over 30 years.  He earned his dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry before completing a General Practice Residency at The Jewish Hospital & Medical Center of Brooklyn (now Interfaith Hospital & Medical Center).  Dr. Markovits went on to complete a one year post-graduate program in Periodontics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine as well as a two year post-graduate program in implantology at New York University College of Dentistry.  Dr. Markovits is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a former Associate Clinical Professor of Oral Medicine at New York University College of Dentistry and is Chief of Dental Service at White Plains Hospital and Medical Center.  He has presented lectures at regional and national meetings and is an active member of numerous dental organizations including the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Osseointegration, the International …Congress of Implantology, the Academy of Oral Medicine and the American Dental Association for which he serves on numerous committees and on the Board of Governors for the ADA's 9th District.  Dr. Markovits participates in numerous community outreach programs that help to bring dental care to those in our community that might otherwise go without;  programs such as the Healthy Beginnings pre-school program and the  New York State Donated Dental Services (DDS) program.
