Dr Milechman is an excellent cardiologist. He is patient and a good listener. And a real problem solver. I would recommend him to any good friends.

If it were possible to give this doctor a zero, I would do it. He misdiagnosed my wife's amyloidosis as a capillary blockage and medicated her for that. There was no improvement in her condition and we sought to pursue a second opinion, but he stonewalled us, asserting that there was no one at Stanford or UCSF who knew more about this malady than he did, so why bother. When we finally prevailed, he recommended an outstanding physician at Cedar Sinai, necessitating costs and exertion for travel and further agitation. The Cedars doctor got the diagnosis right immediately but six months late. Subsequently, Dr. Melichman was arrogant and officious. When my wife, a month before her death, scheduled time to advise him about her disappointment, he tried to charge her for the session, and only withdrew the bill when we threatened to inform the hospital ethics committee. I am appalled that he is on the UCSF faculty
