He totally dismissed my diagnosis of Lyme Disease. Instead he insisted I was depressed & menopausal given my 'age'. He touted his 12 years of college gave him a better knowledge of how I was feeling & why I was feeling that way, despite the symptoms I was having & the information I found from prominent medical journals. He wanted to prescribe hormone therapy & pain killers for my body aches. Being a woman, I've experienced a touch of sexism here and there but I've never, ever been treated like this in my life. I spent less than 15 minutes with this man before walking out. I got an even bigger kick in the face when I saw my insurance paid him over $1500! I have since gone on to successfully treat myself for late-stage neurological Lyme Disease as hundreds of thousands of others have had to do. I no longer have faith in the medical system.
