Dr. Gary H Payman, MD

I was on vacation in VA and had horrible stomach pain. I went to see Dr. Payman and showed him all of the medications I was just so I could eat a small meal everyday. He offered no solution at that time and want even asked me "what do you want me to do? He ended up scheduling an endoscopy for the following week. He was so sure that it was an ulcer. I specifically asked him about the H. Pylori bacteria and his response was "H. Pylori doesn't cause all ulcers." So I endured the pain for an entire week. He did a stool study and tested for every other bacteria and parasite EXCEPT H. PYLORI! In the end I went to a NURSE PRACTIONER when I got back home who does not have as much education as a gastroenterologist but that was the first thing she tested me for. The test was positive and I endured 2 months of extreme pain and weight loss because a Dr. had too much pride to take his patients suggestion as to what was ailing me.
