I had a breast biopsy that turned out to be malignant. Since I am single relatively young woman, I decided to travel to my older sisterâ??s location to have the recommended surgery. Dr. Gary Pesselnick, the pathologist who made the initial diagnosis, was very helpful in explaining the type of tumor I had and in making the arrangements to send the microscopic slides to the new hospital. In fact everything got there before I did. The second pathologist complete agreed with the diagnosis and my surgeon was appreciative about the minimal time it took. Dr. Pesselnick and his staff at West Hills Hospital have my thanks for an accurate diagnosis of an unusual type of breast tumor and for acting so quickly to assist in my treatment plan.

My mother was scheduled for major surgery and would need blood for possible transfusion. She was previously told that she had multiple antibodies, which would make it very difficult to find compatible blood donors. When one of the pathologists, Dr. Gary Pesselnick, at West Hills Hospital, found about this, he directed a successful effort to search the inventories of the available suppliers. Appropriate blood unites were obtained within a remarkably short period, and my mother's surgery was not delayed. Dr. Pesselnick and the Blood Bank staff at West Hills Hospital deserve my sincere appreciation.
