Dr. Gary H Pulsipher

Dr. Gary Pulsipher was born and raised in San Diego. He graduated from Granite Hills High School and proceeded to San Diego State University for his undergraduate studies. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Loyola University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Pulsipher continued his education by pursuing the specialty of Orthodontics at the University of Illinois and graduated in 1991. From there, he completed two years of residency.
As of last year, Dr. Pulsipher celebrated the 18th year anniversary of Pulsipher Orthodontics.
Dr. Pulsipher feels that it is extremely important to remain in the forefront of technological advancements in the orthodontic specialty. Therefore, he attends numerous orthodontic education programs each year in order to offer his patients the best possible course of treatment.
Dr. Pulsipher is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, …and the California Dental Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Pulsipher feels privileged offering people a service that presents a lifetime of benefits. He finds great satisfaction being involved in changing someone's life by creating a healthy and beautiful smile. Dr. Pulsipher considers it a great reward to be able to touch people's lives in a way that offers only positive results. It is his great pleasure to see smiles change and witness the joy in the faces of patients.
The Person
Dr. Pulsipher has been married to his wife Linda for 27 years. They have 6 wonderful kids with ages ranging from 10-28, and 2 grandkids. In the summer, you may see a few "Pulsiphers" working in the office. He is very involved with his family, making time for their activities and sharing vacations.
When away from the office, Dr. Pulsipher loves the water, whether it be surfing, wakeboarding, or body surfing, and enjoys all sports that have a competitive edge. He likes going to the movies and reading about cars. He gives his time to scouting and youth programs in his community, taking kids on trips to the mountains or the river. You can also find Dr. Pulsipher at Poma's in Ocean Beach enjoying a hot roast beef sandwich!
Dr. Pulsipher considers himself to be extremely fortunate to have such a loving family and a profession that brings great rewards, including the wonderful friendships from both his coworkers and patients.
