Dr. Gary Wayne Reiswig, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Gary for a long time. Having Gary as a doctor sometimes comes with a long wait, but I know it's because he really cares for his other patients and he is doing his best to make sure they are listened to and understood. I take my toddler to him, as well, as he always asks ME how I am at her appointments. I have always thought that is so kind of him.

He always takes his time with me. Yes I have to wait for him but I know he’s doing the same for others.

This doctor prescribes high doses of medication too quickly. He needs to be more aware of recommending specialists. He must ask more questions of possible causes of symptoms instead of rushing to prescribe meds. Because of multiple medicines with multiple side effects and interactions, my health has suffered.greatly. I DO NOT recommend this doctor.

He is a very caring person, I have been going to him for a decade. He is very personable and you can tell he cares about you personally.

Be very weary. Dr. Reiswig AND his brother are both doctors at West Wichita Family Physicians. Their mother is also a nurse here. The implications are obvious: if you get on the "wrong side" of any, then you're on the wrong side of all, and the nurse runs the show for other doctors, as well . The two words that come to mind are "nepotism" and "biased." If they want to do so, the whole office will bully you or be unaccommodating, and one family essentially has a monopoly there. Not recommended.

Always takes time to answer questions, caring attitude, refers to specialist when necessary and easy to talk with. Have recommended him to several people. Sometimes the wait may be longer than desired, but he takes time with you when needed.

This doctor is a malpractice suit waiting to happen. He prescribes medicines at 50 times the maximum recommended dosage, knowing that this can cover up serious problems, instead of referring his patients to the specialist they need to see for their particular problem.
