Dr Roggin saved my life. I got an early diagnosis for a pre-cancerous condition which is now under control. Great bedside manner; willing to spend time with his patients. Keeps up on latest research.

Dr. Roggin's and his staff have a tendency to hold medication orders ransom, unless patients move forwards with larger, more expensive procedures.

Outstanding physician. Extremely professional & knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

i have been going to Dr. Roggin for a few years now and hold him in the highest esteem. He is caring. He listens. He hears. He gets to the root of the problem. He takes his time with each patient, as if they were his only patient and as though he has all the time in the world for them. His expertise is undeniable. He is the best of the BEST!

Takes times during first appointment (good) and no insurance but will submit claims, so expect extra paperwork and hassle/expense. He has good principles about doing thorough appointments, but some visits he seems very preoccupied and is interrupted a lot, and end up short. That said, he is prescribes meds cautiously, and really will do what he thinks is best. He seems more reluctant to order some additional tests besides the EGD and colonoscopies than other doctors, which is a mixed bag. Certainly it is partly out of concern for not subjecting the patient to unnecessary procedures. He is broadly interested in health care and preventative care-- but sometimes this can distract from the main complaint. The office staff are good but inconsistent.

I have been going to Dr. Roggin as my Primary Care Doctor since 1987. I am so thoroughly impressed with him as both a physician and human being that I refuse to see any other doctor. In fact, since moving to California in 2005, I make the cross-country trip each spring just for my annual physical. He is really that good!

I have been using Dr. Roggin as my G.P. (as well as my GI doctor) for years. When he does blood tests he is very specific and thorough about the lab work that needs to be done, and he goes over the results with me. This is far more than my previous PCPs have done. He also explains the medical rationale behind his treatment decisions ... sometimes the explanations go over my head, but it's nice to hear his thought process. He is very knowledgeable, and exudes confidence without arrogance, and is quite friendly.When I had an endoscopy done, he was the doctor who did it, and I felt like I was in very capable hands.I have met two doctors in the area (one at Suburban) who, when I told them that Dr Roggin was my GP, said that they knew him, and they had positive things to say. The waiting situation at the office can be weird ... they might call you into the back on time, and a nurse will take your weight and BP, but then it might be a while sitting in the room before the doctor comes… in.I have recommended Dr. Roggin to several people I know suffering from GI issues.

He never examined nor touched me. In the almost 50 years since I was first diagnosed with crohn's disease, he was 1st doctor not to examine me. He just skimmed my medical records. At his request, I spent the entire time describing my illness and problems to him. I have had seversl surgical interventions. His fees are not posted nor available and were more than 3 times what my old doctor charged.
