Dr. Gary Lee Ruelle, MD

Dr. Ruelle is an amazing primary care provider. I have multiple serious medical problems and he somehow keeps them all straight. I do have to see my cancer specialists but Dr. Ruelle takes care of most of my health issues. My Cardiologist is impressed at how Dr. Ruelle takes care of my heart issue most of the time yet still knows when I need to see the specialist. He also takes care of my blood pressure, lung disease, reflux, thyroid disease and lots of other issues. So many PCPs just do referrals these days and don’t actually treat anything but Dr. Ruelle is always willing to refer but also is willing to diagnose and treat most of my health problems. He gets me in right away when I’m having an acute problem and his office never screws up my insurance billing so no unnecessary hassles. I’ve also never had a long wait to see him. I like Dr. Ruelle so much that I convinced my elderly mother to start seeing him too and she’s very happy with him. Dr. Ruelle really cares and he… pays attention to my diet and exercise so he truly promotes wellness. If you want a doctor who really cares about you personally, choose Dr. Ruelle.

I do not recommend Dr. Ruelle to others. Dr. Ruelle's misdiagnosis of a very serious issue could have cost me my life. I became a patient of Dr. Ruelle when I became ill and was in need of a primary care doctor. At first, I was pleased with Dr. Ruelle's quick to prescribe medication approach, as I thought that it was the quickest way to get better. My husband, also a patient of Dr. Ruelle, was also prescribed medication at the time of each visit without much questioning, testing, or exam. I visited Dr. Ruelle for issues with my abdomen. I felt that my abdomen was tight and that something was wrong. I described my issues to Dr. Ruelle and left the appointment with prescription in hand, just as I had in previous appointments. The medication prescribed did nothing for my issues and I felt that a second opinion was needed. The physician I followed up with was surprised that Dr. Ruelle prescribed the medication to me without performing any testing and, after his explanation, I too am… surprised. The type of issue Dr. Ruelle had diagnosed me with, even with simple Google searching, should be diagnosed with tests and a physical exam, neither of which Dr. Ruelle did. Had Dr. Ruelle ordered testing, he would have found that I had a tumor, the largest my surgeon had ever seen. Fortunately it was caught in time and I was able to have emergency surgery performed. While at times convenient, I do not believe that Dr. Ruelle's quick to prescribe medication approach is conducive to a healthy life. Dr. Ruelle has time and again, both with my husband and myself, prescribed medication when testing and exams were needed. Dr. Ruelle's misdiagnosis of my issue almost cost me my life. If you value your health, I strongly believe that another physician should be found. If the above weren't enough, there are additional instances that cause me to believe that Dr. Ruelle should not be the primary care physician for anyone. Examples include: 1. I received a bill for more than $80 for a 5 minute phone call (inquiring as to whether I should make an appointment during Covid). I contacted the number on the bill to ask if it was accurate, and Dr. Ruelle himself called me the next day. He led the conversation by saying that I should not call to complain about him, which didn't happen. Dr. Ruelle is very abrasive and combative. 2. Dr. Ruelle was late to my last appointment. When I arrived to the office, he had not yet arrived for work that day. He said that there were staffing issues. 3. Dr. Ruelle called my husband and requested that he removed a negative review about his practice. Doctors should welcome honest criticism and use it as an opportunity to improve, not demand that comments be silenced. 4. Dr. Ruelle posted my private health information publicly, which constituted a breach of HIPAA.

The receptionist was very friendly, helpful, and professional. I am very impressed with Dr. Ruelle . He took the time to answer all our questions. Very easy to understand and talk to. You can tell he cares about his patients.

FRONT ROOM DIRTY GIRL AT FRONT DESK VERY RUDE. SHE IS NOT PEOPLE FRIENDLY. SHE WAS TO BUSY ON HER PHONE. SHE WAS TO BUSY EVEN TO SAY GOOD MORNING TO ME. DEBATING IF I WANT TO GO BACK. THE DOCTOR WAS VERY POLITE AND WAS VERY CARING AND SAME FOR THE NURSE.

This guy is board certified in nothing- run away as fast s you can. Prescribed medicine and it had an adverse effect, he said it shouldn't have any adverse effect but changed the med anyway since I adamant about it. The new med caused me to call the paramedics and when I spoke to him about it, he said that the meds he gave me could not have caused any such problems. Hey doc do not call a patient a liar when you could verify the truth with a paramedic. Never went back. Also be afraid of anyone who tells you "not to use a chiropractor, I use to be one, and it doesn't really do anything for you but we keep bringing you back in"

I have been a patient of Dr. Ruelle for the past two years and all my visits has been pleasant. Finally a doctor who listens and really wants to help me and has!!! I would recommend him!!!
