Dr. Gary David Sharp, MD

I was a partner with Gary years ago, so I worked with him for years. I was “another cook in the kitchen” with him, so to speak, so I know what your typical sleeping patient wouldn’t have a clue about. His work ethic was very poor. His motivation was more about how to get out of work and dump responsibility on his peers but then how to milk as much as he could on his billing sheets. His labor epidurals were clown-like. I had to mop up his bozo failed epidurals numerous times. His financial ethics (lack of) are reflected in the legal troubles he used to face as a Tucson apartment complex slum lord - look up his name in the Tucson newspapers from the mid 1990s. I wouldn’t let this little lazy, unethical clown anesthetize my enemies. You shouldn’t let him anesthetize you or anybody you care about. Former SAA partner, 1990s

Fortunately, I have only had to have two surgeries in my adult life. Three years ago I had a procedure on my back. My reaction the anesthesia was bad; I felt drugged for weeks. When told I was going to have to have another procedure in late 2013, I was dreading the after effects of the anesthesia as much (or more) than the surgery itself. I called Dr. Sharpâ??s office a couple weeks prior and shared my apprehension. The night before surgery, on a Sunday evening, Dr. Sharp called my home to discuss it with me. He formed a planned based on my feedback which included the use of an EEG to monitor brainwave activity during the procedure. The difference between the two experiences could not have been more dramatic. Instead of feeling drugged/out of energy/lifeless, I was alert and back to my regular self in a matter of days. I will never have surgery in Tucson again without using Dr. Sharp.
