Dr. Gary Jay Shore, MD

Dr. Shore is a very caring doctor. I liked him, but because of time constraints I had move on to a doctor closer to home. I really liked his older staff person who called in for medicines. I really wish him the best of luck.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gary Shore for about 15 years and have only good experiences with him and his staff.They call me when tests are done to let me know results and if anything else is needed.As far as I'm concerned the practice works for myself and my husband. Boscia,the office manager, is quick to respond and help if needed.A PA who worked there caught a tumor my husband had in his esophagus and was quickly sent to someone who diagnosed it.Sometimes the unexpected arises and the patient waiting to be called next may have to wait a bit longer to be seen.

I called to try, to get in to see the dr today because I wasn’t feeling well and they couldn’t even find time to fit me in for an appointment they told me to go to urgent care, yet I am a long time patient . I wonder why he’s a primary care doctor then! They also never do yearly check ups with me. I wonder how they are even in business. The staff needs to go and get trained to learn how to answer the phone and be nice to their patients. I really need to find another physician and one that is caring, and where the staff is nice.

DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! Go ANYWHERE else!The front desk staff (Jenn, Dr. Shore's Wife, etc) are the worst! They need a little kindness in their lives. This office (now part of Northwell Health) is not looking out for patients best interests. I highly suggest not becoming a patient there.

EVERY SINGLE TIME I HAVE TO GO TO THAT OFFICE I GET ANXIETY AND I SAY THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL COME HERE! THE STAFF IS SOOOOOOOO RUDE!!!!!! IT’S NEVER LESS THAN A 2 HOUR ORDEAL AND THE OVERLOAD OF PAPERWORK IS ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS!!!!!!

First off the staff talks badly about their patients and each other which can be heard as you wait to be seen. One women behind the desk yells at everyone and belittles them to the point of embarrassment. Once you get called into the rooms which need a good cleaning you are checked by assistants that seem bothered. By the time the PA walks in I wonder why I even came here. It’s awful and you don’t get call backs and you need to call 10 times for a RX. Can’t find a new dr fast enough.

Dr Shore's practice seems to be OK to me. They don't offer you a mani pedi while you wait and the office girls seem to want to collect that copay money from you before you breathe the air in their office-but you see that almost everywhere. Medically i have found them to be reasonably thorough, and even provided me with sample meds-that used to be common practice, but not so much anymore. They don't call the next day or week to say "are you feeling better" which every doctor should do, but very few do in reality. So I guess my expectations of medical practitioners is very very low, and these guys do meet my expectations. They haven't wronged me and I think i would say i'm a satisfied patient.

This Dr. came highly recommended by one of my closest friends. Although he was amiable he has not returned even one phone call notwithstanding that he told me it was important that I give him some information. His staff seemed downright ashamed that he doesn't respond to patients calls. It seems that his practice is too busy for one person and his staff is crammed in a very small work space. I would never recommend this doctor

Used to be a great doctor, don't know what happened to him but his bedside manner now SUCKS! Do yourself a favor and find a doctor that cares for his patients not this man.

When patients have to wait a very long time to be seen, it's not the office staffs fault. Sometimes Emergency visits get squeezed in. The doctor and both practitioners take their time with each patient. People show up late and/or early to appts causing conflict. I witness the office staff work through much chaos, in a very busy busy office. They constantly get yelled at by rude patients for things that aren't their fault. In my opinion, the office staff is caring, and there to help people. But I've witnessed how nasty people can treat them, so it must be pretty hard to put up with that day in and day out. And it must be a pretty good office if they're ALWAYS SO BUSY.
