Dr. Gary Lee Smith, MD

Twenty + years ago, smith was the doctor who treated me. He casted my ankle. I find out later from a qualified doctor that my ankle should have been operated on with plates and pins. I would never recommend him to anyone. He is totally incompetent.

I had had a terrible infection and could not walk. I warned him that my leg would break; he said he could put it in a cast but never did. It broke--terribly. I was in a hip-to-toe cast for six months. When Dr. Smith would change the cast, he would do it in a wrong manner and cause me pain. Thirty years later I continue to have problems due to his negligence.

...and refused to acknowlege it until he was forced to (after I insisited on an X-ray for proof). He is arrogant, cold, dismissive, careless, incompetent and misogynistic. His cavalier attitude toward leaving me, even after one year unable to walk without a pronounced limp and severe pain, was sickening.

Not a fan...extremely cold, off-putting and snapped at me. Could not get him to crack a smile. Worst of all, I didn't even get a firm diagnosis so now I have to come back and see a colleague.
