Dr. Gary Evan Turer, MD

Dr Turer is a wonderful ophthalmologist. He has a very friendly and efficient staff. He was very attentive, takes the time to answer all my questions, and did a very thorough examination. I love how he always returns my calls

My family and I have been seeing Dr Turer for years. We would not see anyone else. When we are in his office it is like seeing an old friend. His warmth, compassion, and gentle demeanor makes us feel so welcome. I felt safe with regards to COVID as he takes all precautions, with HEPA filters in every room and with an immaculate office. His staff is friendly and helpful. There is no wait time, which is a welcome change from most other Doctor's appointments. He is very intelligent and always offers us the best of care, diagnosing and treating our problems with great expertise. We are so lucky to have this fine man in our medical community. I wish all my doctors were as nice and as kind as Dr Turer

Dr. Turer is not just the best ophthalmologist I have been to, he is the best DOCTOR I have been seen. He is compassionate, and should receive high praise for the diversity of the patients he sees, such as the developmentally disabled population. He has a well run office: clean, efficient, with an excellent front office. His equipment is modern an immaculate. He explains his findings in detail and answered all my questions. He is warm and friendly, as well as super smart. Definitely will be sending my friends and family!

Dr. Turer took the time to answer all of my questions. I had many issues with my eyes, and he patiently addressed every one of them, in a simple and easy to understand fashion. His is so kind, and his front office staff is wonderful. He saw me the same day I called, as I had an emergency, and could not have been more pleasant. He also has a beautiful office- I loved the music in the waiting room. I would recommend him highly!

Dr. Turer has poor bedside manners. He does not show empathy and acts annoyed when asked a medical question. He gives a very brief unrelated explanation and keeps repeating “okay? Okay?” to make you stop talking.

A lovely man and an excellent physician. I look forward to bringing my family to Dr Turer for our annual exams. He has a beautiful office, friendly staff, and even has excellent music playing in his waiting room. He is very friendly and warm. I am confident in his abilities, as he has treated me and my family for years for various ophthalmic conditions successfully. One of the finest doctors I have had the privilege to have encountered in my life.

I could not have been more pleased with Dr Turer's eye exam. I brought my special needs child in for an exam, and the Dr was so kind and compassionate with him. He did a very thorough exam, and was able to help us with a glasses prescription. Kudos to the front office staff as well, who were very accommodating and able to schedule an appointment for us very easily. I also enjoyed listening to the beautiful music he has playing in his lovely waiting room. Thank you Dr Turer for your expert care!

Pristine modern office with efficient and friendly front office. I was very nervous about my eye problem, but Dr. Turer's warm greeting and approachable manner put me right at ease. He gave me a thorough exam and patiently listened to my concerns. I was impressed with how he did not leave any part of the exam to technicians, as my previous eye doctor had done, and instead performed all parts of the exam himself. Although he has a busy office, it is run so well that I barely had to wait at all to be seen, which is much appreciated. I will surely spread the word that this MD is a top-notch professional, and we are lucky to have him right here in White Plains.

From the friendly front office staff, to the spotless waiting room and exam room, to the thorough and patient exam I received, I was very impressed with Dr Turer. Unlike other offices I have been to, Dr Turer performs all aspects of the exam himself, without technicians. I was impressed with the diversity of patients he treats, ie. newborn babies, developmentally disabled people, elderly residents from nursing homes. Truly a remarkable doctor and gentleman!

I felt he was fully engaged with me during my exam, and patiently listened to all of my eye problems. His equipment was modern and clean, and I felt I was given a thorough exam. He answered all my questions, had solutions to my needs, and even gave me samples of eyedrops to treat my condition. He is so nice too-we had a fun time talking about our favorite Yankees! I would recommend him to all my friends.
