Dr Wortz is professional, personable and a gifted surgeon. I am thrilled w the improvement in my vision and the entire experience. Excellent team ...every person we encountered was friendly, kind and knowledgeable, from the front desk, to the scheduler, to the nurses. Their focus is clearly on patient care and making sure the details are all covered. 100% recommend Dr Wortz, his staff and the facility.

Dr. Wortz and Dr. Smith were the physicians who took care of me during my two cataract surgeries at Commonwealth Eye Surgery. Dr. Wortz came by before my surgery to introduce himself and he assured me that he was going to give me the best care possible. He was true to his word; both surgeries went flawlessly. By the next day, I could see clearly, especially in my far and intermediate vision. I have not experienced any pain, irritation, or problems with either eye. The nurses who prep you for surgery are incredibly considerate, caring, and efficient. Their teamwork is seamless—putting in an IV, making you comfortable on the table, offering a warm blanket, and setting up the heart and blood pressure monitors. They even check your blood sugar to ensure it is in a normal range. They handle all of this professionally while talking to you, answering questions, and keeping you at ease. A big shoutout to lovely Nurse Candace, who went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and… appreciated. Commonwealth Eye Surgery is very busy, but the efficiency of the staff keeps appointments and procedures running smoothly and on time. One detail I wasn't fully aware of before my initial visit is how helpful it is to sign up for Klara. It is a free, secure, and easy way to communicate with the practice and complete pre-admission paperwork online. Writing and spelling all my medications by hand would have been difficult, so the digital option was wonderful. I highly recommend Commonwealth Eye Surgery for the absolute best in vision care. I never met the Dr!…at least not that I remember. The staff prepped me for cataract surgery. I knew when the mask and drape were going on but otherwise don’t remember a thing! It is concerning that I didn’t meet the person who cut on my eye but the results are as desired so I guess I would go back should I need the other done. The staff is incredible and I think that’s a reflection of leadership.

Everyone at Commonwealth eye surgery were kind, efficient and very helpful. Dr. Wortz did an amazing job with both of my eyes. With each surgery, by the next day, I could see clearly, especially my far and intermediate vision. My vision continues to improve every day and I can now read my computer screen without readers. I have not had any pain, irritation or problems with either of my eyes. I really appreciate the schedules and drops that they give you for making sure that you do your drops daily on schedule. I keep them at hand and as soon as I do the drops I mark them off. This has been very handy for me. I have recommended Commonwealth Eyes to a family member and would highly recommend them to others.

I had an excellent experience and would recommend Dr Wortz and his staff to anyone who asks! Everyone was kind and professional. Dr. Wortz talked to me through each step of the process, while one of his nurses rubbed my arm when I was nervous. They were wonderful!
