Dr. Gary D Zeger, MD

Dr. Zeger graduated from the New York University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he also served as chief resident. Fellowship training was done at Cedars Sinai in surgical pathology and the New York Blood Center in transfusion medicine. Dr. Zeger was director of the blood bank at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan and assistant medical director of the Los Angeles Red Cross before coming to USC. Dr. Zeger is currently co-medical director of Clinical Laboratories at Keck Hospital of USC were he also serves as medical director of the Blood Bank. He is founder and medical director of the USC Blood Donor Center and medical director of Response Genetics Inc., a successful biotech company that performs genetic analysis of tumors to determine optimal therapy and better gauge prognosis.
