He wasn't in a rush, he was very patient but most of all he wouldn't compromise on any test he felt necessary. I am almost impossible to get an IV into at good times and I had been laying on the ice for about an hour with the temp at about 10 degrees F. I told him it could take a lot of time and people to get the IV in for CT contrast, but he was insistent that I needed proper scans because he wasn't going to send me home and have me "bleed out" due to any damage that I may have sustained. He would call anyone he felt he needed (it is a small, rural hospital on a Sunday night and most of the staff are just on-call, not at the hospital on Sunday nights). He was just very methodical in making sure he wasn't going to send me home to have a life threatening issue later and I was impressed. He didn't "bark" orders at the staff either, he just asked patiently. I left some time later with a good feeling.
