Dr. Gaston Carlos Baslet, MD

Dr Baslet is extremely condescending and is constantly looking at the clock. He never listens to the patient or family member. Tired of being spoken down to. More importantly, he only follows up with the patient every 6 to 8 weeks.

Dr Baslet is great. He is very responsive and really cares.

I would never advise anyone to visit this physician. His main focus is PNES, which is not even the appropriate name for this type of seizure disorder. It’s an old archaic term. Without a full physical evaluation I received this diagnosis. No med checks. No cardiologist. Not taking into account I was on medication that could cause seizures, I was. Other medical conditions I have that can result in seizure activity, I have 2. Ohh now 3 are documented since meeting Dr. Doom. They couldn’t find anything on a 24hr EEG, which I now know is not sufficient nor a definitive tool for complex seizures. When they didnt find anything, other than a blip of a trauma in my life some 25 years prior was the culprit. It tore me to the core when I read his medical notes. Not one bit was accurate by myself or family members. We were left in awe and I was probably more traumatized than anything that I’ve been through... cancer included. I was treated poorly. He would respond to questions with eye rolls.… These were educated questions and of a serious matter. Here I am almost 3 years later and I’m still waiting on a second opinion. During my last visit with him he said verbatim “If you look for a second opinion, I will make it hard for you.” He kept good on that. Take his threats seriously. I now have to see a neurologist out of state because the “good Boston hospitals” would not rebuke Dr. Baslet. I sought an independent neurologist who thankfully has been guiding me in the right direction and believes me when I say this is not psychological. Too many factors left out. That’s my story. Same as the others. Save yourself the pain and heartache. The eye rolls and condescension. The quick to label everything a mental disorder in a flash. Just don’t. Sincerely, just don’t.

Doctor Baslet, always on time in my appointments and very professional.

Dr. Baslet doesn't really listen to the family members of the patient. He has a tendency to talk down to the patient & family. We don't feel as though we are being heard or listened to. He is constantly watching the clock & cuts you off as your appointment time is approaching it's end. Very frustrating!! Seriously time to consider another opinion if things don't change after an upcoming appointment.

Dr Baslet was very compassionate and spent over 2 hours with us. He was very interested in all aspects of my husbands condition and was very professional . He saw us on time and the office staff was equally as nice.

Dr. Baslet is the most ignorant person I have ever met and the fact that he is a doctor makes it worse. I have never been talk to so rudely in my entire life. He only listens to himself and not the patients needs. I waited 3 months to get in to see him. Once I did I couldn't believe that it took so long to see him. He acts like God and that we should be kissing his feet and that we should be privileged to be his patient. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone, not even my worse enemy.
