Dr. Gavin I Awerbuch, MD

I used to think Awerbuch was a great Doctor. I even thought that when I got 2 false positive drug tests from him, one for oxy (is the word he used), and methadone. I was shattered, he said he believed me. I never touched either drug in my life. I assumed it was the place he sent drug tests to and he was still a great guy. I heard later that he had to have some false positives to stay out of trouble somehow. I really have no idea why he had to do that. After the second false drug test I started going to another Doctor to get a second drug test the same day. Unfortunately I never got a false positive the times I got 2 drug tests the same day. I was still a supporter of his. I was on valium at the time. Sapperstain took me off valium after many years, threw me into a bad place with a terminal disease. He played me like a violin. I wonder how many others got these false positives from Gavin Awerbuch? I guess justice is served. Good-bye Doc!

He's caring, empathetic, and listens to each patient without brushing off their questions. It seems like he actually wants to help, not kick ppl through his office with $$ signs on them.

Dr Awerbach is an excellent doctor-he read all my records -then discussed an did proper testing -explained medications and shots I got for pain and has an excellent bedside manner.. He is very kind and when you have pain it is greatly appreciated..

Dr Awerbuch is the most down to earth , thorough physician I ever had the privilege of being under his care. He provided more tests and Results than any other doctor. He is so compassionate and is there there to help his patients. He often seen me "FREE OF CHARGE " or very reduced rate! He gave me coupons and free samples. He also completed procedures like injections that he DID NOT BILL ME FOR!!! I hope is cleared with all these charges and can get back to his patients and compassionate care. He is 1/million!! Spends allot of time with his patients.

I've been seeing Dr Awerbuch for over 10 yrs. now. My previous Neurologist Dr. Levin left abruptly for California California leaving patients hanging. Dr Awerbuch has been a blessing from God for me & others like me. He has experienced terrible back pain & truly understands pain & can relate to his patients. He also looks out for my general well being. The most notable characteristic is his kind, caring, Compassionate personality. He has never been afraid to write pain meds (unlike most running scared) doing all he can to help his patients endure pain on a daily basis when surgery is not an option. Shots, therapy, acupuncture are made available.

I am very saddened to hear of the allegations about Dr. Gavin Awerbuch. I think that he is a wonderful Dr. who has compassion and empathy for all of his patients. He is very popular and well-liked by most of his patients. I sincerely hope that the accusations are not true.

I've been with him for 20 plus years and he's the best doctor I ever had. He never-ever pushed any meds on me. I got bad migraines and bad back problems and I have to be on pain meds. He don't push nothing on me and he never charged me for any services that he didn't do to me. He is the best doctor ever!!! His whole staff is great. Please don't take him from us. Please I don't know what I'll do. He is more than a great doctor. He's like a best friend. Good luck.

The federal governent has harrassed Dr Awerbuck. He was the only doctor that i found that actually honestly treated my chronic pain. He ran tests so that he was properly treating me. The government is so concerned with fools who somehow gt their hands on pain medication that they leve people with chronic REAL pain untreated or improperly treated. Doctors are afraid to treat REAL pain patients that they too will wind up on the government hit list.

He is one amazing human being and a phenomenal doctor! I have been a patient to Dr Gavin for 14 years.I do not use pharmaceutical drugs for pain or issues stemming from a car accident. Dr Gavin had never pushed me to either! I have been able to communicate openly my disdain for drugs and my desire to seek natural alternative options. He has been tremendously helpful in this way... as well as the first doctor that has treated me with respect and not demoralized me for it! Furthermore...He has worked diligently to find the cause of my problems and offer all possible solutions for managing the pain I live with. I have several friends that are patients of his and their opinions parallel mine as well. If you do not like him then I think you might have problems he cannot address.

Tends to be long time in the waiting room, but he is worth it!
