We started with Dr.D 4 years ago when my daughter was 6. She was in a big group practice in Sandy Springs until she opened up a private practice. We saw her the first time at the group practice and she was so compassionate and truly cared about my concerns. I had taken my daughter to a couple of Endocrinologists who had no compassion and I felt like they were more concerned about quantity(how many patients they could see) rather than quality . I drive 30 mins for her to see my daughter every 3 mos and it is totally worth it! She is so knowledgeable and thorough and would recommend her to anyone!!

She may know her stuff, but her "bedside manner" is HORRIBLE! She expressed an utter lack of appreciation for the patient's feelings (fears, as well as intellect) - really disregard to the presence of the patient, as well as complete disregard for parents' request to converse away from patient. She told a teenager that he looked like a 9 or 10 year old in all physical aspects. Truly a jerk; full of herself and condescending to parents & patients, as well as insulting to others in her profession; she should not have contact with patients who are alert and intelligent.
