Dr. Gayla Dillard, MD

Dr. Dillard is very much the surgeon in whose hands you want to be, easy to communicate with, a very human and warm caretaker of her patients, skilled in her proffesion. Took care of my wife's surgical needs very effectively.

Dr. Dillard came highly recommended to me by several other doctors and I am so glad that they did because I think she is amazing! Fantastic surgeon and such a compassionate person. When I got some disturbing news about a biopsy, she offered me her personal cell # to call her night or day if I had questions. And news of a second biopsy that was due to come on a Monday or Tuesday wound up coming in and she called me on a Saturday to give me the good news. I am so grateful to her for knowing how much it would mean to me to get the good news early so that I didn't have to fret all weekend. Me and all of my family and friends say "what an amazing and wonderful Doctor to do that"! I would recommend her to everyone in a heartbeat!! She did a wonderful job with me, both physically and emotionally!

I had my gallbladder removed and got sick afterwards. She showed zero concern. Dr. Dillard has the bedside manner of a goldfish. I would not recommend her.

DO NOT allow Dr. Dillard to provide surgery on you. When she performed my mom's mastectomy (on a BENIGN tumor) she LEFT A STACK OF SURGICAL GAUZE INSIDE OF HER!! After weeks of improper healing and infection, when the cause was finally determined, Dr. Dillard shrugged and said that it wasn't her fault. My mother ended up with MRSA as a result and had to go to the hospital daily for weeks to receive IV antibiotics. Dr. Dillard then showed no concern, remorse, compassion, or acknowledgement of what had happened. DO NOT ALLOW HER TO DO SURGERY ON YOU. There is no legal recourse on things like this because it is considered 'common' and there was no permanent damage. But my mother's unnecessary pain, suffering, and aggravation were very real.

I love Dr. Dillard, when I first went to see her and she put her hand on my knee and told me should would take care of me I knew I found the right doctor. When she performed by biopsy she was very professional yet personal. She went out and talked to my husband and let him know I did well and should be out shortly and explained the whole procedure to him. She told me should we call me Friday with results but she actually called Thursday night at 8:41 with the great news and sounded just excited as I was. Thank you Dr. Dillard!!

She was my surgeon. Did not come out and speak with family???? Went back to have a infected port taken out and the operating room as backed up and I truly believe she had someone else do the actual surgery...the attendant walked me out and asked how he did????? I said Dr. Dillard is good and he said no me??? Can we ever really be sure he actually cuts??? That being said. Get a second opinion please!!!
