Dr. Gayla Sue Harris, MD

Dr. Harris seems decently knowledgeable, but her staff is awful! The front desk receptionist is very unorganized and rude. The nurse is the worst medical professional I have EVER dealt with; she would call me with incorrect information almost every single time! And this includes dosage of medications. Luckily I listened closely to Dr. Harris at our appts so I would question the nurse and she would always stumble around then finally give me the correct info after confirming with Dr. Harris. It became ridiculous and alarming that she was in charge of patients and never knew what she was talking about. I was told there that I would most likely not qualify for IVF and would have to use donor eggs. Thank the lord I found another doctor that was much more knowledgeable and helped my husband and I successfully conceive through IVF. Unfortunately I would not recommend Dr. Harris’s office for your fertility needs.

My husband and I have been trying for almost 2 years to conceive and stay pregnant. We have had 3 miscarriages but Dr. Harris has been there for us like no other emotionally and physically. She is a life saver to us. She is so kind, considerate, hard working and knowledgeable! I've never had a Dr to call me personally with results or just to make sure I didn't need anything but she DOES! She is even available on weekends if you need her! She truly cares about her patients and what they are going through. I cant imagine going to another Dr or trusting in someone as much as my husband and I do Dr. Harris!

It's very rare to have a doctor that personally calls with updates of your status! Dr. Harris regularly calls, if not her wonderful staff and gives great information. The staff are always willing to answer questions and clarify concerns. Our first fertility treatment was a success, although ended in miscarriage. When I contacted them after that happened, they were prompt in responding, extremely caring, and readily available to help try again.

Dr Harris is Great! She really cares about her patient, is detailed & accurate with diagnosis. A doctor that takes the time to get your blood & call you herself is awesome. We need more hands on doctors. A++ for Dr Harris!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Harris' for over five years. She helped me finally get pregnant with my son after years of infertility and miscarriages. We have been seeing her recently in hopes of having another child. She is the display of true professionalism and efficiency. I recommend her to all of my friends struggling with infertility. She truly values her patients and goes above and beyond to help them reach their dreams of establishing a family.

Dr. Gayla Harris isn't a bad doctor/surgeon, but has terrible bedside manners. If you can find a good doctor/surgeon that doesn't rush you out of the office or talks to you as if you were stupid, don't hesitate and choose that one instead.

Dr. Harris was absolutely great to work with. She does talk fast and uses some medical terminology you may not be familiar with but she knows what she is doing. We completely trusted her and her aggressive treatment. I had very severe PCOS and within 3 months of her treatment I had a normal uterine lining and found myself pregnant. I highly recommend Dr Harris. She really cares about her patients, she is even the one to call you with lab results, not a nurse.

I would highly recommend a second opinion if you are not getting anywhere in your fertility journey within 6 months. Be prepared to be rushed and possibly diagnosed incorrectly.

I have read the good and bad on here and just had to say she was great with me and I had 2 successful pregnancies with her as my doctor on 2 different occasions over 5 yrs apart. If I chose to have another child I would definitely return to her.

After reading the other reviews I feel that I have to tell my experience. My husband and I love Dr. Harris and her staff. We worked with her for about 3 years off and on, the result being a beautiful baby boy. My case was very difficult, but she was very determined to help us. She did not give up. We had to go through two I.V.F. cycles with a positive pregnancy both times. The 1st cycle we miscarried. Dr. Harris was very compassionate and encouraging. So we tried again as was successful. I had a healthy full term pregnancy. God Willing we will try again and we will use Dr. Harris.
