Dr. Gayle Lee Mason, MD

Dr. Gayle Mason is excellent. She is very kind and caring. She doesn't rush you and most importantly she listens to you. She and her staff are absolutely lovable. I had a very complicated case and she got it right where others had failed. I would highly recommend her. You won't be sorry!

I was referred to Dr. Mason by my PCP. I had an ongoing problem with what he thought was bronchitis. Dr. Mason correctly diagnosed the problem as a sinus infection that was draining into the bronchial tubes and referred me to an outstanding EN&T Doctor. I was a smoker at that time and my PCP simply wouldn't consider that it could be anything other than smoking. I was amazed that a Pulmonologist was less rabid about it than my PCP. Rather than jump to conclusions, she took the time to actually do the tests and lab work to find out what the problem was and to show it to me in the results and the x-rays. I was extremely happy with her. I wish I could make her my PCP.

Avoid this doctor. We found her to be cold and uncommunicative. Major example - she did not say anything to Jerry about needing to be on oxygen while we were in the office. Nothing. On the way home, we get a call from an oxygen provider wanting to deliver oxygen that day. We checked back and an office helper said she had ordered a small portable unit for short trips when he was walking . The oxygen delivery person had very little in the way of instructions and said he thought Jerry was to have oxygen 24/7. He brought in all kinds of tanks and machines. Result - Jerry refused the delivery even though, in retrospect, he probably did need it at that point. They seem to go out of their way to say "no" to even simple requests like faxing information to Emory for a study we were trying to get him into.

In my experience with Dr. Mason, she showed great sensitivity and compassion. Her exam was very thorough and professional. She spent as much time with me as I needed. Her office staff was incredible. Overall, my experience with Dr. Mason was outstanding. I would highly recommend her.
