Dr. Salama has co-authored a myriad of peer-reviewed publications in radiology, neurology, and neurosurgical journals.Dr. Salama earned her B.A. in Molecular Biology from Princeton University after completing an undergraduate thesis under her advisor, Nobel Laureate Dr. Eric Wieschaus. Dr. Salama then earned her M.D. with Distinction in Radiology Research from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society. Following an internal medicine internship at Mount Auburn, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Salama completed residency training in Radiology at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine, where she was awarded the Distinguished Housestaff Award for Clinical Excellence in 2016. Dr. Salama believes strongly in interdisciplinary collaboration and developed an innovative Weill Cornell Imaging Consultation Service during her residency. She completed her fellowship training in Neuroradiology at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2018.Dr. Salama is actively engaged in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows at Weill Cornell Medical Center.
