I can’t believe he’s still allowed to practice. He has a long reputation for gravely hurting children, inserting his ego and mysoginistic opinions into court custody battles... someone please kick him out! We spent 20k and his hideous eval was thrown out.

Significantly minimizes the role of the mother in general, and is unwilling to address each child individually. Feels very confident about his experience and self proclaimed intelligence, and generalizes children's needs, rather than addressing each child individually. Theatrical in court testimony. Put off by assertive females, and female children who use their voice to verbalize their wants and needs.

Q: If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, would Dr. Zieman think it’s a duck? A: Dr. Zieman won’t fall for that. He’s such a super sleuth that he’s realized it’s a moose, despite all evidence to the contrary which he might as well not have even looked at. Oh, and it turns out you have two horns and hooves, because he believed without question every lie your narcissistic ex told him. And you lost custody of your kids, and your life is destroyed. That is just the kind of highly expensive psychological evaluation you’ll get from this quack. He’s writing some garbage book about how he’s the Sherlock Holmes of forensic psychology. Unchecked hubris, thy name is Gayle Zieman.

RUN! Gayle Zieman significantly minimizes the role of the mother in custody evaluations. He has very little aptitude for working with people of color, LGBT, and military populations. He has very little experience actually treating children, and makes sport of pathologizing otherwise healthy children. He openly admits to having an unmanageable caseload, and performs sloppy work- full of mistakes. He became agitated and aggressive when we addressed the mistakes, and perjured himself on the stand when asked about mistakes he previously admitted to making. There are other options- don't be persuaded into believing he is the only one. Thank Goodness our judge tossed his report!
