Office staff is rude and borderline dangerous. I’ve been refused so many things that the doctor specifically has told me to do by the office staff. Never do prior auths and when they finally do weeks later they do it wrong and then argue that it isn’t wrong even though the pharmacy and insurance has stated it’s wrong and needs to be rewritten. My pharmacy will fax requests multiple times to this office staff and they’ll say they never got it even if the pharmacy just faxed it over. It happens 100 percent of the time. I’ve been yelled at, threatened to never see my dr again, I’ve cried all because of Selena who works at the front desk. She’s horrible and shouldn’t be working with any kind of patient in the medical field. It’s not for her apparently. What I can’t believe is she’s still even working there after all these reviews and how she’s treated me since the moment she started working there. Never had a problem with this doc until her. It’s the honest to God truth and it’s actually… scary she’s still working there because I believe she’s dangerous and wouldn’t be surprised if she gets the doc in trouble someday or really hurts a patient.

I agree with most reviews here. The doctor is ok, but I have always felt she doesn't really hear/listen to what I am saying. I do not know why she doesn't hire a better person to answer the phone and deal with her patient's needs. The wait times are horrible no matter when your appointment time is. I have been doing phone appointments for awhile now because of covid, but when I did go into the office the wait time is always over an hour, even when you have the earliest appointment available. How do you get an hour behind first thing in the morning??? They overbook, no doubt because there is no other explanation. If you need something like a rx called in or prior authorization form you will wait weeks. Selena shows no concern if you run out of medication. My pharmacy faxed 5 times and Selena says she hasn't received anything. Even the insurance company tried to call and Selena doesn't answer the phone. I have never had a voicemail message returned for anything. Selena is unhelpful,… condescending, and shows no empathy for the patients whatsoever. She has lied to me several times saying the doctor never writes 90 rxs even though she has written mine for years for 90 days. Selena says the doctor will not book an appointment not even one week early, so if dr says come back in 3 months and you want to come 1 week before that she wont let you make that appointment. I have given Dr Puri feedback on what Selena has told me and how difficult it is to deal with her. I have had enough and going to try to find another doctor because I have just had it with her office staff and being treated like I don't matter. For an office that deals with people with mental health problems, Dr Puri really needs different staff who don't treat them with such indifference to their needs. I mean people should not be running out of meds because the doctor's office won't respond to the pharmacy or won't call in your rx for over a week. Changing doctors as I have had enough.

Disappointed in how rude she is. She proscribed me things that did not help and I’ve been proscribed before lack of understand and can’t explain things correctly.

Requested a prescription refill through pharmacy, week later no meds. Called was told missed an appointment may not refill med? This is for my daughter who has depression and was told not to stop taking meds! They blame the pharmacy who in fact faxed it. And faxed it a second time. Now I cant get a hold of anyone in office!

Dr. Puri is amazing. I have been a patient for awhile, and before I saw her I was a mess. Other doctors had difficulty diagnosing me, and just threw meds at me. Dr. Puri was patient and figured out a very successful treatment for me. Today I am on the right track and owe much of my success to her. Her help has been priceless! I would highly recommend her. If you are a "new" patient, I would recommend taking your significant other, a parent, or a friend with you on your first appointment to better assist in your diagnosis.

There is no worse experience you can have, especially if mental health is a problem, than to see this individual. Her front office staff is cruel, vicious, rude, non-responsive, and has a low and uncaring attitude towards all her patients. If the doctor, herself, isn't bad enough, her "staff" of angry, nasty harpies, will make you life an unbearable, miserable experience, after which time you will actually required the services of a competent psychiatrist. I have decided to omit the many pages of grievances I could write here, and simply get to the bottom life: You have been forewarned. This is a really bad one - Avoid her. The least of all your problems will be the 2+ hours you will wait for each of your appointments - but since this time option is not given, I want to mention it here.

Front office employee would not put calls through. Urgent medical services required, but no response from doctor.

The staff here is horrible. Not only did they lie to me saying Rite Aids fax was busy all day, when i call back there is always some excuse as why my prescription isn't filled. Horrible, Horrible. If you need prompt phsyciatric services this is not the place to go!!!!!! I've been waiting for three days for a refill.

On my brother's first visit with Dr. Puri she saw him for less than 10 minutes. All she did was submit for refills on the medications he was already given by the crisis clinic in my area, which his primary doctor had done just days before. What he needed was a medication evaluation as his current regime is not treating his symptoms! It is easy to see the troubles he's having as he physically shows them! He suffers from severe paranoid schizophrenia and does not believe that he has an issue (as many in his case do!), which is all the more reason I find it SO IMPORTANT that ANY NEW DOCTOR actively seek PAST MEDICAL RECORDS FROM EACH NEW PATIENT, especially when they suffer from such a mental illness where they will tell you time and time again that everything is fine!!! I believe that it is Dr. Puri's RESPONSIBILITY as his "psychiatrist" to TRULY UNDERSTAND his case. Not only did the office NOT ask for him to provide a list of previous doctors to piece together a thorough medical… history, but the office also advised me that it is the 'patient's responsibility' to tell them up front if they want to have the office request and keep these type of records on file. My question is how is Dr. Puri supposed to help my brother if she has no idea (nor interest) in understanding his medical history, of which the most recent was a 4 month stay at Patton State Hospital! I consider this malpractice and would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone seeking actual help with their mental state. If you already know what works for you and simply want medication refills, by all means have your insurance company pay her for your 10 minute visit.
