Dr. Gene Alan Balis, MD

Given one star because I had to. This man should not be allowed to "practice" medicine. Fails to review information from other doctors. Fails to review MRI brain, MRI cervical spine and CT temporal. He works to make other doctors believe patient has mental health issues while failing to do his job. He should be Baker Acted for causing harm to his patients.

Dr. Balis was amazing! Patient, kind, wonderful bedside manner. Tried to avoid surgery, but after all options were exhausted, he performed a triple fusion on my cervical spine. I could not stand his partner, I thought he was rude and unkind, but Dr. Balis made up for it ten fold! Would absolutely recommend him!

Dr. Balis is the best. I would never go anywhere else. I had many things wrong with my spine. He did everything he could to avoid surgery if at all possible, but did have to perform two extensive operations. Prior to those, I could barely walk, sit, lay down or stand, and he gave me back my quality of life. For that, I can never thank him enough.

Did a fantastic job on my back surgery and I'm recovering nicely! I highly recommend them.
