I have small children and therefore don't work full time, but I still talk to my staff at least twice a day, my when I am not personally there. This way, urgent matters can be addressed and appointments arranged if indicated. I admit and follow my own patients at Sharp Coronado Hospital when hospitalization is necessary. I work several days a month as the hospitalist, following many of the inpatients, and follow patients in the Villa Coronado nursing home or Seasons assisted living. I do make occasional house calls for infirm or hospice patients for whom travel to the office is too difficult. However, I can only do this for those who leave somewhat near my office in Coronado, or on the way to my home in Serra Mesa.

I would not call her a good listener. Patients with chronic conditions, like me, often have some valuable info to offer. After years of sinus infections, I know what antibiotics work and which don't. But she dismissed this and prescribed something else that was totally ineffective. Ended up at the ENT speciaist who ran a culture and guess what he prescribed? The antibiotic I originally asked for. I agree with the reviewer who complained about her receptionist. What a sourpuss.

Dr Bloom is the most loving and caring doctor I have ever met, she is my primary care doctor now for several years and I just love her! She is honest, very patient, and don't beat around the bush, she tells you how it is and takes care of you. Dr Bloom goes over and beyond, I recommend her to my family and friends. I give Dr Bloom 5 stars!!
