Dr. Genoa Goetz Ferguson, MD

I wish there were more stars I could give this bright and compassionate Urologist. We live on the south coast and have no access to urology. After a month of trying to get a timely urology appointment, the Oregon Urology Institute gave my husband a next day appointment (due to cancellation). We were glad to drive 4 hours to get in with a Urologist. The front desk and nursing staff were kind and helpful, Dr. Ferguson apologized for having a patient emergency and arranged for my husband to have 2 needed tests and a patient education session that day. This was 12/21, the Thursday before Christmas. Services flowed smoothly from our arrival at 2:00 pm until we left at 5:00. Dr.Ferguson was attentive and respectful as she gathered history, gave us diagnostic information and provided a clear care plan. She was sensitive to our distance from the clinic and scheduled telephonic follow up after the next test in April. Dr. Ferguson and the Oregon Urology Institute provide excellent care,… and we will be forever grateful!

She is rude and unprofessional. She does not treat patients and their family members as persons. Everyone is just a nuisance for her. That’s just how you want to feel at the doctor.

Maybe Doctor Ferguson was having a bad day, I left her office in tears. To be ill and have a doctor shun you, is a horrible feeling, let alone a traumatic one. There are other Urologists who will give you the respect, and medical advice so you can make important informed medical decisions. I hope others will take my advice so they don’t waste their time. Which could cause them their health.

Dr Dr Ferguson is treating my spouse for kidney cancer. Dr Ferguson was patient explained in detail his situation. We had questions after his visit made a call and received a call back the same day answered his questions. Dr Ferguson stayed with us after introducing Dr Walker who would de doing the surgery as he explained what would be involved in the surgery.

I am writing this to counter the negative review received by Dr. Ferguson. While I have no idea what transpired between the patient and Dr. Ferguson I can assure anyone reading this that my wife and I had a very different experience. My wife was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer two years ago. She was successfully treated by Dr. Ferguson with kind, compassionate care. I was impressed enough with this physician to select her as my specialist when my PSA test came back above the normal level. I would recommend Dr. Genoa Ferguson without hesitation.

Worst doctor in Eugene, Springfield. Has absolutely NO BED SIDE manner. Lacks empathy. Just an overall B#!!:;
